Flexitanks: Turn a Shipping Container into a Liquid Transport Tanker

A conventional flexitank utilises the size and strength of a shipping container to transport food grade liquid in bulk quantities of up to 24,000 litres. Flexitanks use the side and end walls for support in a shipping container and a bulkhead to keep the flexitank away from the doors. The critical functions of the flexitank bulkhead are:

  • To stop the flexitank and the liquid from escaping
  • To allow the doors of the shipping container to be closed
  • To allow the flexitank to be filled and emptied without risk to operators
