Road, Construction Zone & Pedestrian Barriers

Rotationally moulded plastic work and road barriers are an ideal solution for separating high risk and general construction environments. They are a critical component of any occupational health and safety regime to ensure the safety of employees, contractors and the general public.

Waterplex offers two separate delineation barriers:

  • The S Series for traffic delineation manufactured to comply with AS/NZS 3845:1999
  • The D Series for pedestrian management and construction zone separation

What to look for when selecting plastic road barriers:

  • They must be strong and robust - check the design characteristics and weight of the barrier which are indicators of strength.
  • They must be flexible and able to withstand knocks and low velocity impacts
  • If being used on public roads, they must be compliant with AS/NZS3845:1999
  • They must be made from UV stabilised LLDPE to be able to withstand long term exposure to the sun
  • The filling and emptying of the barriers should be straight forward and efficient
  • The connection system between the barriers should be simple and able to be replaced if broken (rather than replacing the whole barrier)
