Follow these simple steps to determine the right size and shape water tank for your requirements:

Round plastic tanks are generally the cheapest option for rainwater storage. However, round tanks are the least efficient use of space when compares with other tanks shapes. If space is not an issue for you and you do not mind the look of a round plastic tank (or you can hide it on your property), then a round plastic tank is a great option.

If space is an issue for you, or you want to “hide” your rainwater tank along the side of your home, then a Slimline plastic rainwater tank might meet your needs. Please bear in mind that plastic rainwater tanks are made in a mould so there are limited sizes available – especially in slimline plastic rainwater tanks.

In order to find the tank best suited for you, you should:

  • Determine the amount of water storage you want to achieve
  • Work out your available space
  • Decide if want to buy a round or a slimline poly tank (round is cheaper but not as space efficient)
  • Review the product range of round poly tanks and slimline poly tanks on our website to find the size that fits your available space and gives you the water storage capacity you require
