There are a number of Federal, State and Local Government bodies that offer water tank rebates around Australia. The amount of water tank rebates and the requirements vary from councils to council and state to state. There is also a federal rainwater tank rebate available.
Usually a rainwater tank rebate is not made available to a homeowner if the tank has to be installed as part of a building or alteration process on a home. You should contact your local council, or state government department managing the rebates (see the hyperlinks below) to determine if you are eligible for a rainwater tank rebate.
