Portable spill and permanent spill bunding containment solutions are essential for managing liquid and dry goods storage and transfer. Environmental protection regulations are increasingly requiring the use of bunding for spill containment.
The site and local regulations usually determine whether portable or permanent bunding is most suitable.
Portable Spill Bunding
Portable spill bunding can take many forms but most often falls into one of the following categories:
storage drum bunding
liquid containment (usually bladder tanks or poly tanks)
Waterplex offers product solutions in each of these categories. If you have a need for portable spill bunding solutions, call the team at Waterplex on 1300 72 66 70.
Permanent Spill bunding
Permanent spill bunding occurs where bunds are built on site and need to be lined with appropriate materials to ensure the transfer or storage liquid is contained within the bund if there is a spill.
Permanent spill bunding most often involves a supply and install solution. Often there are unusual shapes or protrusions around which the bunding material needs to be installed. This is usually done by using a "cut and shut" installation method where the bunding fabric is cut and welded on site.
Sometimes permanent spill bunding can be prefabricated and installed by third parties where the shape of the bunding is relatively straight forward.
